Volunteer: MOTHERS DAY 2026 preparation

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 10 2026. Regardless of your parental status, Mother's Day hits all women differently. At the very least, we all have Mothers. Our relationship with them may be beautiful, strong, fractured, or even estranged. They may be an integral part of our lives, or they might be deceased. Either way, it's a day we might feel either intense love and gratitude or loneliness.
I would like to extend an opportunity for you to come alongside the women in shelter as we approach Mother's Day. Of course, this is completely voluntary, but if God lays it on your heart to help spread the love, let's do it! Or please pass this email along to a friend or family member who might be able to help. Here are our current #'s, which could change a lot in the next few weeks.
CITY RESCUE MISSION =total shelter women = 38 (10 with minors)
GOOD SAMARITAN RESCUE MISSION =total shelter women = 25 (10 with minors)

The deadline for turning any of these in would be Monday, May 4. If you are available to help stuff bags, etc I could use the help there too! Volunteer hours will be awarded. The bags will be distributed by shelter staff on Sunday.
